foOd...fOoD...FoOd...

In my opinion, food is what makes or breaks a party. Guests do remember if you served good food and talked about it even after all the presents are opened (and used). In fact, hubby and I still talked about the poor, slow service of a "big shot" pizza restaurant who catered during my cousin's daughter's baptism early this year. Guests were even joking that it's already the girl's 1st birthday because that's how long they waited and waited and waited some more. The food is yummy (I must say) but really what we remember is the slow service. It's not the fault of the mommy and daddy but I felt sorry for them. It's their girl's special day.

Onwards to my son's 1st birthday party, hubby and I are contemplating whether to hire a caterer or just order food from a fastfood restaurant. I'm still looking at the package costs and was wondering if (at the end of the day), it will cost just the same since we still have to rent tables and chairs if we do decide to order from a fastfood restaurant... unless we hold the party in their restaurants.

If any of you are interested to know the package rates of Shakey's, Chef d' Angelo and McDonalds, feel free to ask as I have their recent packages (as of April 22, 2008)... oh I also have Pancake House. But poor hubby since I have yet to tell him that Almon Marina does not have catering.
