MISis Adventure # 7: Apple Cream Pie

This one is sooo yummy... too bad we forgot to take a picture... geez! I got this simple recipe from the son of one of the professors where I work and I assure you it was a hit.

Ingredients for the crust:
graham crackers (crushed)
melted butter

Ingredients for the apple filling:
butter
apples
cinnamon powder
sugar

Ingredients for the topping:
Nestle Cream
sugar (optional)

Directions:
Mix the graham crackers (crushed) and melted butter until dough-like.
Form your crust/base. Set aside inside your refrigerator or freezer to harden the crust.
In a pan, saute the apple, cinnamon powder and sugar in butter. Wait until it evaporates (or you can just drain it if you don't have the luxury of time).
Mix your Nestle Cream and sugar (if you wish).
Pour your apple filling on top of your crust and top it with the Nestle Cream.
Best served when chilled.

This is exceptionally good (5) so try it and surprise your loved ones. I tell you hubby was surprised! Next weekend, I'm trying the Binagoongang Baboy recipe I got from my officemate who taught me the "Buttered Shrimps."

Rating:
5 - exceptionally good!
4 - must try
3 - A-okay
2 - bland
1 - yikes! Never try this at home!
