Summer Fun at the Queen City of the South (09 May 2009) - Day 2

On our 2nd day, we went for the city tour. I contacted a certain Lito Barro (whose contact numbers I got from the n@wie yahoogroup) and he designated Raymond as our driver for the van we rented. The rate is Php1,000.00 for the first 2 hours and an additional Php300.00 for every additional hour plus Php300.00 if you are going to the Tops. Here are the pictures of the places we visited...
(our rented van)
(first stop: Mactan Shrine)

(Mommy, Enzo & Lapu-Lapu)

(still at the Mactan Shrine)
Since we arrived at the city proper a bit early, the driver suggested we drop by the tourist spots first before we have our lunch.
(Magellan's Cross)

(Basilica)

(Fort San Pedro)
Then we tried the "famous" CNT Restaurant at the SM mall. We had 2 kilos of Cebu lechon for lunch and it was truly mouth-watering! It's true when they said that you don't even need a sauce for it. Sorry Mang Tomas! hihihi!
(Casa Gorordo)
We decided not to go inside Casa Gorordo anymore since we don't want to shell out for the entrance fee hihihi! Me & hubby have actually been there already so it wasn't a big deal for us.

(tons of Danggit at the Taboan Market)
We were supposed to go to the Tops but it started to rain already so we decided to just go back to the hotel to enjoy more the beach/pool.

Later that night, we decided to eat at "La Tegola" but this Thai restaurant caught our attention instead. Php 300/person (nett) meal good for 6 pax. We just ordered additional rice and drinks. The food is yummy I must say. Krua Thai is also near the Save More shop and the Majestic Seafood & Chinese Restaurant where we ate lunch the day before.

... day 3 to follow!
