It’s time to Party… Party: The Birthday Attire

Please forgive me – na-LSS lang ako because my eldest kept on singing this song plus that “Gangnam Style” song to boot.  I don’t know exactly if “Gangnam Style” is the title of that song but my son (and I saw even his playmates in our condo) is fascinated with it.  You should see my son dance to that tune.  He is truly adorable.  I will try to take a video of him when he does that hahaha!

Going back to my post, I will try my best to finish the supplier ratings for my youngest son’s 1st birthday party last September 9 (Sunday).  I will do this one supplier per entry so that it is manageable.

The Birthday Attire

Our theme is Super Mario Bros.  Rafa doesn’t have a choice yet and since Enzo loves anything Mario, we opted for this theme.  Hubby told me Mario is older than Luigi which is why Rafa is the one wearing the Luigi costume.  Both costumes were made by Cargins Costume.  Suki na kami dito since Enzo’s 1st birthday party.  Imagine, he turned 5-years old already.  They also did the Halloween costumes for Enzo in the past – Wolverine, Buzz Lightyear.

This Nike Jordan 11 shoes is a hand-me down.  It was a gift for Enzo by his ninong Mac, my husband’s younger brother.  Parang bago lang diba!  Enzo used it when he was still trying to figure out how to walk on his own (December of 2008).

We also had a mini-family pictorial before the party started.  Buti we decided to come to the venue with this attire first before we had the kids changed to their Super Mario Bros costume.  Otherwise, we will not have time anymore for any outfit change.
Both polo were bought in RL including hubby’s.  Enzo's shoes is a steal which I got on sale in Converse.  Mine is a dress from Tango.  I like it’s fit kaya I went back to Tango if they have other colors I would like kaya lang puro light colors na.  This lovely family picture is courtesy of the famous GingLorenzo.  That would be for another post.

Rafa’s Birthday Wish List

Hala!  We have received a couple of messages and texts asking us of what they can buy as gifts for Rafa.  I used to register special occasions through the gift registry of SM, Rustan’s and Mothercare.  Some guests have told me that it’s easier that way – they will be able to get something that they know the child needs (or what mommy wants for her kid teehee!).  So what I do before is choose from a wide selection.
It’s just that I don’t have much time to register Rafa for his 1st birthday.  But for those who are still asking us, here are some of our suggestions:
1.      Johnson’s Baby Bath (the boys share this so between the two of them, they consume a lot!)
2.     Pampers’s Large (orange)– Rafa currently uses Medium but he might outgrow it if we receive tons of medium diapers hihihi!
3.     Huggies Pants Large – Because Rafa now knows how to pull the tape from the regular diapers and does it quite often to our yaya’s dismay hahaha!
4.     Avent 9oz. bottles

5.     Avent #4 Fast Flow Nipples (6m++)

6.      Avent Hard Spout (12m++)

7.      Avent Decorated Cup with Toddler Spout (12m++)

8.      Or the Nuby No-Spill Twin Handle Cup
9.      The ever-durable crocs will be nice (size 4-5)

10.   Richell’s Baby Snack Case (for an OC mom like me!)

11.   Clothes like shorts and shirts

There!  Or whatever you feel Rafa would appreciate… See you at the party.

Rafa @ 11! (07 August 2012)

I am able to blog exactly on Rafa's birthday. Classes and work have been suspended because of the unrelenting rain since yesterday.  News of flooded areas bring back memories of Ondoy.  I pray the rain, at least stop for a while so water will subside.

Moving on to happier thoughts.  Rafa is now 11-months.  I'm so excited for his birthday.  In fact, we have already distributed the invitations #tooexcited.  Unfortunately, we don't have a cake to celebrate his last monthly birthday before he officially turns 1-year old.  We will probably opt for a late celebration tomorrow.  I don't think anyone will be doing delivery at this point or we can't really drive outside as it appears streets are flooded too. Hayz!

Let me post here a very recent pic of the 2 boys during Nanay's 90th birthday (hubby's grandmother).  I realized bagay pala kay Kuya the while long-sleeved polo... he looks so dashing.

Enzo with his cousins - Brent and Gabbie.
And here is Rafa who is just too cute for words.
Warned you he's is such a cutie pie!

His Thomas cake

One word to describe French Kiss' cake: Amazing! Look at these details... there's Thomas, Gordon, James & Percy. I think Ms. Belle forgot to add Toby but I didn't brought it up anymore. The design really made up for it already.

To our first-born son (but will forever be a baby in my heart), mommy & daddy only wish for your happiness and good health and hopes you will be a loving and helpful brother to Rafa. We love you!!

Enzo's 4th Birthday Party Preps

Just a quick thought, I'll be able to push through of having Enzo celebrate his 4th birthday in school since that would already be a month after giving birth. The school discourages big parties so I will only be cooking spaghetti and cocktail hotdogs or chicken lollipops. I will just buy cupcakes or Krispy Kreme's mini-M&M donuts and order a cake from Goldilocks for candle blowing.

Then will have another salo-salo that weekend in the house. I already fully paid his Thomas cake courtesy of French Kiss Pastries. Depending on how I will love his cake, I am also planning to get Rafa's baptism cake (and maybe cupcakes too!) from them. I was thinking of ordering the following: Conti's baked Lasagna, Amber's Pancit Puti, Lumpiang Shanghai, Barbeque, Pichi-Pichi, Puto courtesy of Lola Rose, Elarz Lechon and Blue Bunny Ice Cream. Oh! I'm getting hungry now hihihi!

4th Birthday Preps

Wow! It's been awhile since I last visited my own blog... and there was even a time I thought I lost this blog already as when I searched it, Google says "Blog Not Found." waaah!

I'm almost there now... on my 32weeks & 4days. Had to monitor my blood sugar on my 28th week then just this Tuesday, August 2 I had to have insulin injection (4units) every night before my bedtime snack. I cried when I found out but realized it ain't that bad. And I'm also on medication for my UTI and due for another urinalysis this coming Tuesday. Oh well!

Hubby & I decided to have my CS on Friday, September 23 (Feast of Padre Pio) - my 39th week unless Rafa has something else in mind. Besides am considered full term by Tuesday, September 6 (wow! that's a month from now...).

Going back on the topic of my post... am also preparing now for my eldest 4th Birthday. He wants Thomas as theme so I have, in fact bought Thomas Birthday banner, Thomas party hats and Thomas loot bags. I have paid the downpayment for his Thomas cake from French Kiss. We'll only have a simple merienda. So just have to buy what goes in the loot bags for the kids who will be there on his birthday, paper plates and cups and spoons & forks and order the food.

We are mostly decided to have him celebrate his birthday in school. It will only be snacks during their recess so am thinking chicken lollipops, spaghetti, cookies or cupcakes and a Goldilocks birthday cake perhaps. We need to buy re-usable containers before I give birth.

So I hope my recovery after 2 weeks goes smoothly and I'll be able to bring these stuff to his school come recess time. But the simple merienda over the weekend will have to push through.

Hope to be able to blog more often now especially when I go on my maternity leave... Ciao for now!

am still kickin guys...

So sorry for those who still continue to drop by my blog and continue to find no new updates from me...

I have started my new job last October 11 and I cannot anymore access social networking sides... name it - Facebook, Twitter, Multiply, Blogspot, YM, Gmail chat...

So yeah, it does get lonely in my new job... I miss my AIM friends because I have a different shift from most of my other colleagues and I eat my dinner at 6PM alone... but the pay is way way better... so I guess, am still adjusting!

Enzo, by the way, turned 3 last month and here's a few pictures to share on our Jollibee party. It wasn't really planned... but the lil prince had a blast!

on my toes...

I am literally on my toes... just too many things on my plate now. Will blog again when I am settled. For the meantime, here's a preview of how it has been and of what is bound to happen soon enough...

- cancelled our much anticipated Bohol trip due to Enzo's bout with gastroenteritis. Our only consolation was that no hospitalization was required.
- moving to a new workplace in a week's time. Mixed emotions - excited yet nervous!
- preparing for Enzo's 3rd birthday party in Jollibee with only 2-weeks lead time...

Ok, ciao for now!

the birthday girl

My birthday lunch last Feb. 16 at Gilligan's Trinoma. I am officially 31! As we were trying to "save, save, save!" we ended up inviting our families to lunch at Gillingan's because of their set menu. The one we ordered is only for Php1,000 something and it's filling enough for our group (7 1/2 pax) though it was a set menu intended for 6 pax only.

Thanks to my in-laws for the yummy cake from Amici and to my parents for the Bayo blouse.

Adorable Two!

Same date last year, I posted this. Imagine it has been a year ago and we now have an Adorable Two! As they say, "two is terrible" but Memmy & Daddy don't really think you fall to that category (I hope I don't talk... err write too fast!). Really you have such been a sweet, happy boy. Well, your energy surprises us at times but we are satisfied knowing you are thriving indeed.

We will have a celebration tomorrow so I will be on leave again. It will just be a small salo-salo to celebrate another year of life. Though we look forward to your Blue's Clues cake. I will post pictures of the birthday boy tomorrow.

my birthday wishlist for the 'lil boy!

In 2 weeks time, Enzo will be turning "2!" And when you ask him his age now, he will say "2" with action. Here is our wishlist for the 'lil boy (hoping his 7 pairs of godparents are reading this! joke po!):

1. Disney Pixar Cars McQueen Molded Kids Cayman (size: 8/9 or bigger)

2. Nickelodeon Spongebob Patrick Kids Cayman (size 8/9 or bigger)
When we entered the Crocs store in Trinoma, this is the model that Enzo pointed to us hihihi!

3. Crocs Rally Shoes (color: red/black or white/black)

4. Lacoste Classic Polo Shirt for kids (size: 4 / color: parakeet yellow)
We'll try to get him a red one for his birthday, it's just that sometimes they don't have the color on stock. I'd like him to have one in yellow too since "Yellow is the new Black!" teehee!
5. Guess Baby maong pants (size bigger than 18 months)
He only has 1 and pretty soon, he will be able to outgrow it!
6. sleeveless shirts (for malling)

have you seen my boy lately?

Here is a recent picture of my lil prince taken last August 22 when we went to Tagaytay to go to the Pink Sisters. This picture was taken at Dencio's where we had our early, yummy dinner.

In a month's time, we'll be celebrating his 2nd birthday (at home). I have already placed the order from Quintbelles for his Blues Clues' cake. We'll just serve lunch/merienda on his actual birthdate (7th!).
